Neon raining aqua in your eyes, like they’ve never shone so bright. Who could forget them, my love, my darling? Alive in your smile’s the sunrise, the one and only one where I recognize: I can’t forget you, my love, my darling. The time that we take, the memories we make, I’ll always remember, but it’s here that I think, in this time and this place, I’ll be with you forever.

Buzz 01:22
I have no worries and I pay no mind. I’m in no hurry, gonna take my time. I don’t care if I say things twice. Everything’s so bright, everything’s alright. There’s just not enough things on my mind. Never enough things, nothing’s on my mind. I don’t care if I say the same thing twice. There's not enough things on my mind. Never enough things, nothing's on my mind

The Mountain 03:54

Mandala 04:03
You and I, misunderstood feels so good. When we feel so good, misunderstood. You and I don’t see why You and I fly by.

The Way? 04:25
Who would have dreamed? Who would have dreamed that on this day I would live to see everything, every single thing balance perfectly? Who could have dreamed? Behold the rays before my eyes, the virgin sun is so sublime. But you must have faith, you must know why I meet this day inside open skies. My time has come and all is one. My horizon melts and it blows my mind, I’ve never felt so satisfied. I will meet you in the sky. In one motion, all emotion sing in unison. For one moment, everything is beautiful.
6.
Sundown 05:32
A little black, a little blue, don’t miss the stars, don’t miss the moon, But pools of black pull me back and minutes bleed into years. And just how long until I find why it is I feel this way? Time runs out and I come down from such a beautiful morning. Long live the sunrise in my eyes, the only one I recognize, the only thing to make me smile, the only thing to make me cry. One last time I reminisce, one last time I can relive, one last time I can recall what it all was like before it fades. Deep in dreams I don’t belong, nostalgia’s been gone for so long. Deep in dreams I don’t belong, there’s nothing else I can recall.
7.
Root Beer 04:13
Close your eyes, don’t you try so hard to go so high, you never come back down. The only time going by is now, light as ever, like a feather, float. No one near, the only one that’s here, and you don’t need nobody else but you. No one near, the only one that’s here, and you don’t need nobody else but you (ooh) Lullabies, butterflies at night. All they see, odysseys of gloom. Don’t rely on no one else but you. The only soul you really know is you. So, you’re only here for now? When even in laughter, the heart is sorrow. Or do you exist at all? The way that you feel every day that you’re here, is it even real?

Emotion Blue 02:46
Somewhere between all the breaths that I take with you, is the sky craving blue when I feel the way I do. Next to you, I feel the same, Thoughts arrive but yet to stay. I’d speak my mind, my mind is numb, endless skies for silent doves. So many things I’d like to ask about what else life should have, Why every time I try to run from here, I end where I began?
10.
No Goodbyes 06:05
This must be the end, my life long lived. This must be the day I fade away. Falling through a plain, everything is strange. All this time and I find along the way, these are not really songs (after all), these are not really songs at all, just singing to a phase. Saggy eyes, dusty lips, waiting for a mutter back feel at home inside a book with all the pages colored black. And all the time I’ve left to spend, after all, is purely drab when lost in places I used to know, drawing blanks and turning mad. All this time and I find along the way, All the time that we took, taken away. Am I still the same?

For You 04:51
Sainted woman, patient lady, you know who I am, don’t you recognize? Lonesome hiker, lost disciple, I believe in what you say, I know you’re not insane, but don’t be so far away. Do you think that you know why? Do you think you understand? Do you think that you know why? Don’t you know my heart breaks every time? Helpless trooper, absent mother, this pageant’s for you, from the child you once knew but don’t recognize. Do you think that I don’t cry? Do you think that I don’t care? Do you think that I’ll move on, like nothing ever happened, like something I imagined? Do you feel as though goodwill miscarried you, disparity has married you, the yin has been unfair to you and slowly keeps on tearing you apart from me? Do you think that you know why my heart breaks every time?

Today, I’m not worried about tomorrow. Today, I wish I wouldn’t wish so much. One day, the sun will fade but you and I, we’re gonna live forever. One day, one day, you still just might remember I wish it were fair, I wish I was there, and I wish, I wish I didn’t care because today, there’s nothing I can do and one day, one day, I’ll be just like you, gonna fade away too. But what if I want you? What if I need you today? Just for a day, I wish you weren’t far away. When part of me wants you, part of me needs you today. Just for a day, I wish you weren’t far away. How time still flies. How these tears fill my eyes. How far we come from the day we stop being young when we grow up more than once. I don’t move on. Life is by extra soon when restless moons don’t ever say goodnight, not to you and just to me. How you and me seem to be stuck between just a dream and just a plea for presence. Today my tears never dry ‘cause I don’t move on and my heart stays broken.
14.
Stage 7 05:54
One day, you'll realize there are no tears in Heaven, just the way you’ve always imagined. Remember this life is not our last, for all that is wrong will come to pass us by. Harmonized, you and I, in a world I look for, all I see is for better or worse, whatever occurs, you’re still with me.

about

DZ Riley’s debut album Entropy is a tragic and heartfelt journey into the mind of a senior suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. Entropy takes you through the gradual descent into the late stages of the disease. The music reflects the hallucinations that plague him throughout the listener’s experience. It’s a story that can only be truly appreciated by listening from start to finish.
Throughout Entropy’s 14 tracks, DZ Riley displays a wide range of musical versatility utilizing instruments from sitar and theremin to orchestral and choir arrangements. This is thanks to the band’s ability to collaborate with various musicians, including more than a dozen to help elevate the songs to a level that would have been unreachable for Keefer Schoon and Noah Savoie, the two founders of the band.
Entropy honors those who have been afflicted by Alzheimer’s, particularly Keefer Schoon’s grandmother, Diane Stith, who recently lost her battle with Alzheimer’s in August of 2020. In an effort to combat the illness, DZ Riley has decided to donate all proceeds made from Entropy to the Alzheimer’s Association.
